Trudy said: "Partnering with the Department for International Trade, I want to ensure businesses in Copeland can access the support on offer and understand the opportunities for growth as the UK signs new trade deals around the world.

“I am determined to help local companies across Copeland thrive in the high growth markets of the future, create high quality jobs and help the local area recover after the Covid crisis, which is why I am pleased to be hosting events that can protect jobs and give businesses in my constituency access to information, advice and finance to sell internationally.

“The events I’m organising are free and all businesses need to do is register. Experts and experienced exporters will provide advice including on government-supported working capital and the practicalities of post-Brexit trade.”

In attendance will be experienced exporters to provide free advice including on government supported working capital and the practicalities of post-Brexit trade. Whether your business is new to exporting, has exported in the past or is a current exporter, participating in the programme will equip your business with the support and tools needed to begin or continue your exporting journey.

The sessions will provide Copeland businesses an opportunity to hear speakers from the Department for International Trade, an experienced local exporter, and a bank, all detailing the support available for businesses to expand their business overseas.
