Following the recent spate of vehicle related crime in the Woodhouse and Kells estates in Whitehaven, a 15-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with offences.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said:
"He cannot be named for legal reasons but a file is being submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service and he will appear in Court in due course.
"During a recent residents meeting we asked the public to report matters to the police so that we could address them accordingly, you have done so and, thanks to this, we were able to gather the required evidence and charge the person responsible."
