Pedestrian injured in Crindledyke collision

Police were contacted at 10pm on Saturday 3 October, along with the ambulance service, to a report of a serious road traffic collision on the Carlisle to Harker road at Crindledyke.

Involved in the collision was a Mercedes C220 and a pedestrian, a 25-year-old man. He was treated at scene by ambulance before being transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital Newcastle and his condition was initially described as serious.

Police are appealing for witnesses of the incident or anyone who may have dash cam footage to please get in touch.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 219 of 3 October.
