A student at West Lakes Academy sixth form has tested positive for COVID-19.
Principal James Jackson said:
"We were able to quickly implement our well-planned procedures, which complies with government and Public Health recommendations. Students who may have been in close proximity to the affected student within a specified time frame have been required to isolate for 14 days, as have any staff who were also in close contact.
"The academy and the remaining students have been able to continue to operate in line with our adjusted arrangements following our return to the academy in September.
"Let me take this opportunity to thank all the members of our community for their continued support and in particular the students, who continue to impress with their mature and responsible approach to these challenging times.
