Yesterday evening (11 Aug) at 18:40, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service were called out to a HGV fire on the A66 near Troutbeck.
The road was closed during the fire and subsequent recovery throughout the night.
A spokesperson from CFRS said:
"Firefighters used Breathing apparatus, CAFS (compressed air foam system) and hose reels to extinguish the fire.
"This was a great example of the Emergency Services and our partners working effectively to serve the people of Cumbria.
