Detectives appealing for information on a Nissan Navara as part of a murder investigation have located the vehicle.
Officer located the vehicle at around 11:40am today (28 July) in the Wreay area near the A6 between Low Hesket and Cocklakes.
A cordon is currently in place in the area as officers continue their enquiries. Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.
Detective Superintendent David Stalker said: “We would like to thank those that have come forward with information regarding this vehicle.
“The major investigation team are appealing to the public for any information or anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Wreay area around 4:30am on Friday 24th July.
“Anyone with dash cam or any other video footage in the Blackwell Hall area or Wreay area of the Nissan Navara, or Lee’s movement in the early hours of the 24th July, please get in touch.”
Two men aged 25 and 50 and three women aged 25, 40 and 46 remain in custody on suspicion of murder.
A 47-year-old woman from Carlisle has been released on bail.
