Officers are investigating a serious assault which has occurred between midnight and 1am on Saturday morning (18 July) close to the junction of Abbey Road and West View Road.
The victim has sustained a serious injury to his face and attended Furness General Hospital for treatment.
Two local teenage males have been arrested in connection with this incident and have been released on police bail for further enquiries.
