Cumbria Police have been taking action overnight at tourist hotspots to deter antisocial behaviour and breaches of Coronavirus lockdown rules.
Many would be overnight campers wisely went home. Several fines were issued for Covid-19, and drug related offences.
A Police spokesperson said:
"Circa 30 people were found to be camping at Blea Tarn following reports of females pushing wheelbarrows full of alcohol at that location.
"This is the Lake District, not Glastonbury. Please respect the Countryside Code and Bylaws.
"The Lakes has suffered massive damage with trees cut down, fires, industrial scale littering, over recent weeks - this behaviour cannot continue. Campsites will be open from 4th July. Bylaws will continue to be enforced."
