The New Crown Pub at Bowthorn has been holding virtual meets online through the video application, Zoom.
One interfering busybody didn't understand the meaning of, "Virtual Pub now open" when the announcement was made on Social Media. They contacted Cumbria Police, claiming the pub was breaking lockdown rules.
Officers attending the scene last night (16th May) found two regulars propping up the bar, playing their banjos and enjoying a good old country sing-along.
Albert Spinestein, and Mariah Scary have been unavailable for comment.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said, "Albert and Mariah were unresponsive to our questioning. These two were bone to be wild."
A spokesperson from the New Crown said, "Officers took selfies with our regulars and went on their way, happy that no rules were being broken. The complainant has no humerus."
