The Coastguard say that they are currently conducting a search for a possible person in the water off Whitehaven.
Initial information suggested a fisherman was on the pier around 11am and has not been seen since.
A spokesperson said:
"If this was you or you have any information which may help this search please contact Belfast Coastguard on 02891 463933."
UPDATE
The search was called off around 4.20pm after it was confirmed that the man had been found safe and well on land.
