Cumbria Police are urging the public not to display posters on their doors or windows to let people know they are vulnerable. Police are concerned that criminals will use this as an opportunity to target those who are vulnerable within our community.
Assistant Chief Constable Andrew Slattery said:
"We are proud to see our communities coming together to support each other at this critical time, especially those amongst us that need extra help.
"Whilst we encourage this support as it is vital, we are concerned about some posters that are circulating for people to put on their door to let people know they are vulnerable.
