On Wednesday the 29th of January at around 2pm, someone with a .22 rifle shot and killed a pet goose at Kirkby Thore Hall. A reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of the culprit.
Amber Lynn Daniels, the owner of the Goose said:
"We saw nothing and would ask anyone who did to please please come forward. He was a much loved family pet.
"This was not an air rifle, it was a very regulated weapon that is more than capable of killing a human. Therefore, the user (should be) registered.
"The police are involved.
"We have other animals and poultry, but most importantly, small children. The village is full of animals and other children so this person poses a significant risk.
"He was not an aggressive goose and he was in our property, so this was done for fun."
