A Flood Warning has been issued by the Environment Agency for the West Cumbria coast. Flooding is anticipated from Silloth, down to Millom.
Large and powerful waves are expected to affect the foreshore as a result of high spring tides and strong winds.
Tides will be at their highest between 21:30 on the 08/02/20 and 01:30 on the 09/02/20.
Flooding to roads and farmland is expected at these times, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide.
A spokesperson from the Environment Agency said:
"Low lying land, roads and coastal paths at St Bees, Coulderton, Nethertown, Braystones, Seascale, Saltcoats, Ravenglass, Annas estuary and Haverigg may be affected. We are closely monitoring the situation.
