The family of Micah Carruthers, 47, who died following a road traffic collision on the A69 near Corby Hill on Tuesday night have today paid tribute to him.
He was a loving son, father, step-father, granddad, partner and brother. He was also a good friend to many people and a popular guy.
Micah was an avid reader, and he absolutely loved Marvel. He would always have his head in a book or he would be watching films. He would always get up in the morning to watch Scooby-Doo with his youngest daughter Maisie.
Micah really enjoyed watching sports, be it Wimbledon in the summer and football for the rest of the year. He was a massive Manchester United fan. He could tell you anything about them. In fact, Micah knew everything about everything. If you needed to know an answer to something he would be the man to ask!
Micah spent most of his life in Carlisle but for the past 13 years lived in Brampton. He was making his way home from Carlisle when the tragic accident occurred.
Micah leaves behind his partner Chloe, children Emily, Liam, Katie, Molly and Maisie, mother Kathleen and brother Russell.
