Outrage at dumped rabbit carcasses

Cleator Moor residents have reacted with outrage at a most gruesome discovery on Jacktrees Road.

Sid Rigg diverted from his walk on Jacktrees Road to take in the views. He discovered a number of rabbit skins and heads had been dumped over a wall.

Sid said:

"There are some disgusting people about. I took my dog for a walk down Jacktrees Road. I stopped at the layby, half way down the road, and was enjoying the view. I looked down and someone has dumped rabbit skins and heads over the wall."

Copeland Borough Council have said that "because the carcasses are on private land they are not allowed to remove them. They are in the process of finding out who owns the land."
