A woman has been charged with wounding and common assault following an incident in West Cumbria on Boxing Day.
Police were called to an address in Main Street, Hensingham, at 8.15pm on 26 December 2019 to a report of a man in his 30s having suffered injuries believed to have been caused by a knife or other bladed article.
The injured man was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary at Carlisle with stab wounds but has since been discharged.
Victoria Lagan, 35, of Main Street, Hensingham, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent and common assault. She was remanded in police custody to appear at Carlisle Magistrates’ Court today (28 December).
