It's that time of year when 'Cleator Caring Moor' launch their appeal to help the less fortunate in the area.
A spokesperson from the organisation said: "We hope you can help us to make a difference to someone this Christmas by perhaps donating a food item or a small stocking filler for either a child or an adult in need.
"We are raising funds towards fresh fruit, veg and meat by having a stall of handmade goods at the Cleator Moor Christmas light switch on, which will be held on 29th November at 5pm, please come along and support us.
"Items we are looking for include small gifts for stockings, sweets toiletries, gifts for children and adults. Food items are the most important things we need, tinned foods, packet foods, a list can be found on our Facebook page. (or please feel free to call).
"Christmas treats, those items we all like at Christmas are a joy to a child, sweets, crisps, juice, mince pies, cake maybe biscuits for pensioners or a packet of crackers or nuts.
"Please if you can, help us to help those on our own doorstep."
