
Emergency services are dealing with a one vehicle road traffic collision in Barrow.
Police were contacted today (5 October) at 7.34pm with a report of a collision where a car collided with a chip shop on St Lukes Street. Two people, who were in the car, have been taken to hospital. The severity of their injuries are unconfirmed at this time.
St Lukes Street and Moorfield Street are currently closed. Police have evacuated a number of nearby properties, as a precaution, whilst gas engineers assess the extent of the structural damage. Over 25 people have been evacuated at this time.
