Appeal For Local Actors: The Ballad Of Lucy Sands (Film)

SHARE:

Between the 25th - 30th October there will be a filming session in the old Victorian parts of Workington for the Victorian feature film 'The Ballad of Lucy Sands'. Locally based, competent actors for some of the proposed shoots are needed:
  • Mr Andre late 30’s - mid 50’s - a wordsmith Victorian showman - he loves to mystify his audiences with his use of alliterations when describing the performance about to unfold in front of their eyes. Think old time concert hall performer and you’ll be on the right track.
  • Madame Andre - similar age to her husband. A psychic performer, she stuns the crowd into silence by her mystic ways, until Lucy enters the fray and turns her act on its head - This is a long piece, lots of dialogue for both actors.
  • Supporting actors - men and women.
Supporting actors needed:

A priest, and John Telford. Both men need to be in their mid 30’s or older. Both have a decent amount of dialogue. No crowd needed for this scene. Daytime shoot.

A couple to play the part of a man and wife who hear what they believe to be a scream as they are retiring to bed. Dialogue between the two. Both actors to be mid 30’s or older. No crowd needed for this scene. Daytime shoot, emulating night time.

Mr Harrison and Mrs Harrison. The young Maynard's parents. Speaking parts for both. Actors need to be in their late 40’s - late 50’s. Daytime shoots.

A couple of policemen. 42” chest - 36/38” waist - the uniforms are the deciding factor here.

You’ll be joining a stellar cast. The film company are only covering food and travel expenses - you can use the film for your own IMDb and footage from it for your showreels.
